Join us at Harlesden Library for a special viewing of the Brent Reggae Album Covers Exhibition, followed by a talk from curator and historical musicologist Kwaku titled: “Where Would Reggae Be on the Global Stage, If Not for Migration?”
In this talk, Kwaku explores how migration from the Caribbean to the UK and beyond helped reggae music grow and spread around the world. He highlights the key role of Brent and Harlesden, along with other parts of London and important cities such as Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds and Wolverhampton.
