About First Wave Housing

First Wave Housing (FWH), formerly Brent Housing Partnership (BHP), is a housing company owned by Brent Council. It is a registered provider of social housing.

Expectations

As a tenant you can expect:

  • high quality homes at an affordable rent with a responsible landlord
  • your property to be repaired when issues arise
  • your views and concerns to be listened to. If you have any concerns about your property, please contact your managing agent.

What we expect from tenants:

  • to report any repair needs and to provide access to workers to complete the repairs
  • to abide by the tenancy agreement, this includes respecting neighbours
  • to pay rent. If you are having difficulty with rent payments, please contact your managing agent as early as possible.

Andrew Hudson - The Chair

Andrew has extensive experience as a senior leader across the public sector and as a non-executive director. As well as chairing the Housing Companies Boards, Andrew is also a Non-executive Director at Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, and Chair of the Centre for Homelessness Impact.
Melanie Smith

Melanie Smith

Melanie is the Director of Public Health for Brent. She has worked at the Council for the past decade and prior to that held various Director of Public Health and Medical Director posts in the NHS.

Councillor Saqib Butt is the Labour councillor for the ward of Kingsbury. He is also the Vice Chair of the Brent Planning Committee.

Akintoye Durowoju has 23 years of experience in the housing sector, the last 15 in Senior and Executive roles delivering affordable housing and regeneration across London, and East of England.
