Job details
The right candidate needs to be qualified NVQ Level 2/3 or above childcare qualification. You need to be able to demonstrate a full working knowledge of the EYFS and be able to demonstrate this knowledge at the interview stage.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- observing and documenting children's daily activities
- creating exciting, age-appropriate activities for the children in your room
- listening to and engaging with the children in your care.
Candidate must also promote positive relationships and interaction between all adults and children in the setting to ensure parents/carers are well informed of their children’s progress and always feel welcome in the nursery. As well as, working in partnership with parents, providing a positive learning experience for all children regardless of race, culture or religious background.
The key worker will have responsibility for some key children and needs to document the children's progress on a weekly basis and create termly written reports in Eylog.
You will be role modelling your knowledge and best practice to colleagues and delivering the best learning opportunities to the children.
