Job details
You would be a key person for a small group of children between 18 months to 2 years or between 3 and 4 years old, working within a team of ten.
The person
We are looking for a reflective, Early Years nursery practitioner with a level 3 qualification in childcare.
You should:
- Have a good rapport with children and be sensitive to their needs.
- Be passionate about for making learning fun and engaging for each child.
- Be a good communicator with the ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents.
- Have the ability to use a variety of communication techniques with children.
- Have sound understanding of child protection and the safeguarding of children.
- Have good knowledge of the EYFS and the ability to track and record children's learning and development.
- Be able to plan engaging activities for individual and group learning for children of different ages and abilities.
- Be trustworthy, reliable and punctual.
Any extra information
The nursery currently supports a number of children with additional needs including children with speech and language delay and children on the autistic spectrum. Knowledge and experience of delivering interventions such as bucket time and supporting children with additional needs would be welcomed.
