Job details
Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in the nursery
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum
- Experience working with children under 5 years with SEND
- Monitor children's development and behaviour and communicate with parents or guardians as needed
- To keywork a small group of children and ensure that their records, such as daily diaries and individual learning profiles, are kept up to date.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the nursery area
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of all children
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Patience and understanding to handle various behaviours and emotions of young children
- Creativity to develop engaging activities that promote learning and development
- Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborating with other nursery practitioners
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
- A high standard of numeracy and literacy skills
- Thorough knowledge of the EYFS Framework and curriculum
The person
Qualifications:
- Full and Relevant Level 3 Qualification in Childcare
- GCSE Maths
- GCSE English
- Paediatric First Aid
- Safeguarding
- Food Hygiene
- A genuine passion for working with children and enhancing their development.
- A background in nursery settings or similar environments is preferred.
Any extra information
