The school
St Mary’s Catholic Primary School is a successful one form entry Catholic Primary School and Nursery with a strong and supportive staff team. We are situated in Kilburn and are part of the All Saints’ Trust. Our vision is to provide education to enable all children to pursue excellence for the common good as world citizens and future leaders of the 21st Century.
The role
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated and caring teacher with a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. Applications are warmly welcomed from both ECT’s or practitioners.
The successful candidate will:
- Demonstrate, or show clear potential to develop, high-quality teaching in line with the Teachers’ Standards, with a focus on securing good progress and outcomes for all pupils.
- Have secure (or developing) subject and curriculum knowledge across Key Stage 2, with the ability to plan and deliver well-structured, engaging lessons supported by high-quality schemes and resources.
- Use assessment effectively (with guidance and support where appropriate) to inform teaching and respond to pupils’ needs.
- Create a positive, safe and stimulating learning environment, underpinned by high expectations of behaviour and achievement.
- Be reflective and committed to ongoing professional development
- Support and promote the Catholic ethos, values and mission of the school.
The person
We are looking for a practitioner who is committed to inclusive, high-quality teaching and to their own professional growth.
The successful candidate will:
- Be a qualified teacher (or ECT) with a secure understanding, or willingness to develop expertise, in adaptive teaching to meet the needs of all learners.
- Work effectively as part of a supportive and collaborative team, contributing positively to the wider school community.
- Be organised and proactive, with the ability to manage planning and assessment
- Be passionate about improving outcomes for all pupils
