Kilburn Grange School’s Maple (Year 3), Oak (Year 3), Sycamore (Year 5), Rowan (Year 4) and Pine (Year 4) Class each visited Artist Betty Leung and spent the day at Metroland Studios, to experience “a day as an artist”.
The students were given an introduction to the life of an artist including viewing examples of work in Leung’s studio and exploring images of her previous exhibitions. The children were then give an hour and 15 minutes with a selection of artist material to create their own work for a pop-up exhibition.
Over 100 works were created which the children kept, this exhibition presents documentary photographs of the workshops.
