About this event
Join authors for an intersectional exploration of violence in literature at Kilburn Library. The discussion will take place from 6pm to 7.30pm and will include a Q&A session.
Together, we'll explore the challenges and complexities of writing about violence and its impact on individuals and on communities, and how as readers we can compassionately navigate these topics. With this impassioned literary event, we invite you to take part in changing the narrative on conversations on violence, especially the social narratives we have in relation to sexual violence and domestic abuse.
Prior to the panel, attendees have the opportunity to visit and interact with community stalls between 3-6pm at Kilburn Library providing information on these and other related topics.
Please note: This event will include discussions related to violence, including rape, sexual assault and domestic abuse which some attendees may find distressing. We encourage you to please exercise appropriate caution and care in attending, and kindly direct you to additional resources for further support.
