These whimsical scenes are full of colourful floral spires and grasses which flow organically across the canvas. Iridescent and pearlescent paints are used to produce bold shimmering flower stems and moody skies.
Sarah’s work is inspired by Kaffe Fassett’s bold vibrant tapestry and knitting designs, Priscilla Batzell a prolific expressionist acrylic flow artist, and Sarah’s own love of gardening - including the marquee at the Chelsea Flower Show which houses wonderful banks of lupin and foxgloves.
This is Sarah’s first solo exhibition and she is delighted to be able to present her work here at the Willesden Gallery in her home borough of Brent where she has lived for most of her life.
