From There To Here explores the impact of time. On work. On process. On time itself.
For a year, The 306 Collective met monthly to discuss and share their work. Through this process, and the diversity of their individual practices, several common themes emerged: self and identity, the exploration of past and present, the examination of memories, and the power of chance.
From There To Here is an exhibition by 5 artists that seeks to consider the time they spent meeting and to create a visual and visceral response. Each artist is presenting work that reflects upon the time within each other’s presence, the experience of shared thoughts, and allows for an individual’s artistic process to be combined with a collective’s energy.
Time is a powerful medium, and the artists’ work reflects on its essence. It enables the remembrance of events, individuals, and ideas. This show offers viewers the opportunity to explore and experience the perspectives of the artists, portraying a rich tapestry of feelings and cultural expressions.
Works in the exhibition include painting, collage, drawing, photography, sculpture and textiles. The intention is to create a space where visitors can experience and reflect on their own journeys, memories, and the ever-shifting nature of time.
