Adams' inspiration comes from the randomness of the tiny marks he sees throughout his day. They could be a tiny scuff on a wall or pavement, cracked plaster on a tube station platform, paint drips or smudges on his easel or studio floor. These marks trigger Adam's mind and take him to another place. This is the start of his creative process and when he starts to draw or paint them he begins to leave his head, his body and then his studio completely.
This exhibition displays the output of Adams' process transformed into oil paintings and plaster casting. He hopes they will catch the viewer's imagination and take them out of their heads and the more they begin to lose themselves the place they are in too even for just a moment.
Each artwork is titled in a way so as not to influence the viewer on what they are seeing so they can decide.
