The Brent Stop Tobacco Service is offering community-led project grants to help reduce tobacco dependency across Brent.
- Total funding available: Up to £20,000 across multiple organisations
- Maximum grant per organisation: £4,000
- Application deadline: 4 January 2026
- Project delivery: Projects should begin by March 2026 and be completed within six months of commencement.
We want to work with local organisations to create healthier communities. Your project can focus on specific groups and collaborate with the Brent Stop Tobacco Service and the Brent Public Health team to achieve shared goals. This might include:
- identifying priority population groups
- running focus groups or interviews
- delivering training or awareness sessions
Objectives
We’re looking for projects that will:
- understand the lived experience: Gain a deeper insight and understanding of challenges, needs and perspectives from the targeted groups
- identify gaps in service: Highlight areas where current support may not meet the needs of the community
- work with groups to inform practice: Provide evidence of community-led/ co-producing approach to reduce tobacco use in Brent
- raising awareness: Raising awareness of the harms of tobacco use.
Expected outcomes
By the end of the project, successful organisations will:
- find barriers and challenges that stop targeted groups from getting help from the Brent Stop Tobacco Service or other London-wide support
- work with the community to create solutions together to overcome these barriers
- help more people quit tobacco by running activities, increasing referrals to the Brent Stop Tobacco Service, or using another method chosen by the organisation
- show clear results that prove the project made a difference
