The Youth Provision Capital grant aims to fund structural changes and improvements to premises used by Youth organisations to enable better access and an increase in facilities and activities for young people in the London Borough of Brent.
Who can apply?
To be eligible for funding, you must be one of the following.
- Community Organisations delivering youth provision
- Charitable incorporated Organisations
- Community Interest Companies
- Companies Limited by Guarantee
- Charitable Trusts
- Educational facilities
Please note, applicants must be over the age of 18 and the project must be based in Brent.
Assessment criteria
Your application will be assessed against the criteria below:
Governments Strategic community Infrastructure levy regulations [SCIL]
The project must fit in one of these categories below:
- Parks, green spaces, and recreation
- Cultural, community and sports facilities
- Schools and other educational facilities
Growth areas
The organisations building/space needs to be based in one of the locations below or be able to prove that their delivery targets these areas:
- Northwick Park
- Wembley
- Alperton
- Burnt Oak & Colindale
- Staples Corner
- Neasden Station
- Church End
- South Kilburn
- Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation
Brent priority
The organisations project will need to meet at least two of the below requirements where the project will:
- create more opportunities and increase participation of young people from all backgrounds to become actively engaged and empowered members of their communities.
- will develop increasingly sustainable, inclusive, diverse, and engaging recreational opportunities that bring young people together and respond to evolving priorities.
- inspire and enable all young people to grasp opportunities and achieve their ambitions.
- support the development of modern and accessible youth-dedicated spaces.
- promote and embed wellbeing and mental health priorities, including access to support, within the local youth provision.
- enable positive relationships and healthy behaviours to ensure all young people feel safe in their communities.
