4 August – 3pm update
We understand how distressing the last few days have been for those affected by the flooding in Tokyngton Avenue, Point Place, Argenta Way and outside the WEM Tower.
With more rain expected this weekend, the Environment Agency, supported by the council and the London Fire Brigade, is working around the clock to bolster local flood preventative measures, ensuring that three industrial pumps and more hoses remain in the area ready to deploy if required.
Please find the following flooding safety advice on the London Fire Brigade’s website.
For general flood readiness advice, you can also call Floodline on 0345 988 1188.
You can contact the Environment Agency’s 24-hour hotline number, 0800 80 70 60, to let them know about any blockages in Wembley Brook or if you become aware of any flooding. In an emergency, you should dial 999.
If further flooding occurs and your home is affected, the council rest centre will be reopened.
