This Holocaust Memorial Day, join Brent’s commemorative event on Thursday 26 January to remember the millions of ordinary people murdered in the Holocaust and in the genocides that followed in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur.
With the theme ‘Ordinary People’, the moving and inspiring stories of ordinary people who survived the atrocities of the Holocaust and other genocides will be shared.
The event will include talks by keynote speaker and Holocaust survivor Peter Summerfield BEM, a Holocaust Educational Trust Ambassador as well as a reading of the story of a Cambodian Genocide Survivor, Sokphal Din.
In event tradition, a performance will be given by the London Cantorial Singers as well as a memorial candle lighting by school children across the borough.
