Residents attended the Your South Kilburn Winter Fair on Saturday 30 November. The event, attended by the Leader of Brent Councillor Muhammed Butt, the Deputy Mayor of Brent Cllr Ryan Hack, and Jamie Wilding, Development Director from developers Countryside Partnerships (part of the Vistry Group), marked the recent completion of Peel Plaza (officially named Mile Walk) as well as phases two and three of the rebuilding of Peel Precinct.

With the final phase of Peel Precinct now under construction and due to complete in 2026, overall the Peel Precinct site will provide:

  • 46 affordable homes
  • 98 Shared Ownership units
  • 184 private sale homes
  • A new Health Centre
  • Affordable Workspace
  • Pharmacy, café and gym

Countryside Partnerships is also now working on the next phase of the regeneration of South Kilburn at the NWCC site, which will include 95 new council homes delivered directly for Brent Council, with the first of these due to complete by the end of 2025.

The redevelopment of Peel Precinct and NWCC is part of the wider South Kilburn Regeneration programme, which is one of the largest and most ambitious schemes of its kind in London. Once Peel Precinct and NWCC are built, the regeneration programme will be nearly 60% complete with 1,954 homes delivered so far. The remaining phases in the masterplan will deliver over a thousand further homes, a revitalised park, enhanced public spaces, and a range of community benefits.

“

I am proud that we are delivering on our promise to transform the area for this generation and the next.

Councillor Muhammed Butt, Leader of Brent Council and Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Planning and Growth said: "It was fantastic to see so many residents come together and celebrate this huge milestone in the South Kilburn regeneration programme. I am proud that we are delivering on our promise to transform the area for this generation and the next. I can't wait to be back to see the new and improved neighbourhood, and welcome residents to their new affordable homes."

Jamie Wilding, Development Director of Countryside Partnerships’ West London region, commented: “We are delighted to celebrate this huge milestone in our work in South Kilburn. Peel Plaza will provide a new space for the community to come together and it was wonderful to see such a big turnout of longstanding and new residents of South Kilburn enjoying and celebrating this great new place.”
