This Holocaust Memorial Day, join Brent’s commemorative event on Wednesday 28 January to remember the millions of people murdered in the Holocaust and other genocides that have taken place, such as in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cambodia, Rwanda and Darfur.
With the theme ‘bridging generations’, the evening will honour the connection between those who survived, those who inherited their stories and the generations that continue the vital work of remembrance. Filled with inspiring stories of those who survived the horrors of the Holocaust and other genocides. It will be an opportunity to come together to reflect and learn from lessons of the past and shape a peaceful future.
The event will include a testimony from John Hajdu MBE a Hungarian-born Holocaust survivor.
In event tradition, the London Cantorial Singers and JFS will perform, followed by memorial candle lighting by young people across the borough.
