Brent Council has agreed a new agency arrangement with Everyone Active that will see the operator continue managing Vale Farm Sports Centre from Sunday 1 March 2026.
The new agreement is the first step in Brent’s wider transition from a traditional leisure model towards an Active Wellbeing approach – focused on prevention, inclusion and tackling health inequalities across the borough.
The five-and-a-half-year agreement builds on more than a decade of partnership and brings a £1 million package of capital investment and social value commitments from Everyone Active.
Everyone Active is investing £850,000 to upgrade facilities at the centre. The main gym will be extended, refurbished and equipped with brand‑new fitness equipment. New group exercise studio space will be created, and the sauna and steam rooms will be refurbished.
All improvement works will be phased so the centre can stay open with minimal disruption.
These improvements form the first stage of a wider programme of improvement works planned for later in the year, including a refurbished women’s gym and upgrades designed to improve the overall customer experience.
The investment is focused on improving the centre so it can better serve Brent’s health priorities including social connection, strength and mobility, rehabilitation and access for residents who may be inactive or living with long-term conditions.
The agreement will also see Vale Farm operate as Brent’s first Active Wellbeing Hub, with strengthened referral and rehabilitation pathways including expanded physical activity referral, aquatic rehabilitation and long-term condition support programmes.
