Flushed with progress as £150k upgrade brings major toilet refurbishment to Roundwood Park

Brent Council is investing £150,000 to refurbish the toilet block at Roundwood Park, backed by the Pride in Place Impact Fund and designed to give visitors facilities that are modern, durable and built to last.

The block will contain six stainless steel toilets to maximise durability and longevity. The layout is being designed to meet today’s expectations of safety and accessibility so that older residents, disabled people, parents with young children and women and girls can use the park with comfort and confidence.

Roundwood Park was identified early for investment through the Pride in Place Impact Fund because of the number of people who use it and will make a real difference to park users.

These new toilets will be modern, robust and accessible, helping make the park work better for families, older residents and anyone enjoying our green spaces. We are grateful for the government funding that has helped make this improvement possible, and this is a welcome step forward for one of Brent’s most valued parks."

The project supports the council’s wider ambition to create cleaner, more welcoming neighbourhoods and sits alongside work such as the Green Corridors programme to improve the local environment and help people lead healthier, more active lives.

Construction of the new toilet block is planned for completion in time for summer, restoring facilities that will support park users throughout the year and help ensure Roundwood Park remains one of Brent’s most enjoyed and valued green spaces.
