Neighbourhood Patrol Team (NPT) provide a highly visible and reassuring presence enforcing the PSPO within the borough of Brent.
The team work in direct partnership with the environmental enforcement team, community protection team and safer neighbourhoods teams via local tasking to coordinate multi-agency approaches to problem solving across the wards.
What will they do?
The Neighbourhood Patrol Team will:
- act as an extra pair of eyes and ears during the evenings in areas known to be environmental crime and antisocial behaviour hot-spots in the borough with a visible reassuring patrol presence for the community
- promotes compliance with the use of warnings and enforcement through fixed penalty notices and prosecution, where appropriate for littering, dog fouling, graffiti, fly posting and street drinking
- assist with Intel gathering where crime and antisocial behaviour (ASB) occurs.
