Children can swim for free at participating leisure centres during the school holidays. Swimming is a great way to have fun, stay active, build confidence in the water and practise swimming skills.
Who can swim for free?
Children aged 16 and under who live or study in Brent can swim for free at participating leisure centres during the school holidays.
Children must be aged 16 or under when they register. Free swim session access lasts until 9 April 2027.
To be eligible, you will need to provide either:
- your Brent postcode or
- the name of your Brent school or college the child attends
Children under 8 and non-swimmers
Children under the age of 8 and non-swimmers must be accompanied in the water by an adult swimmer aged 18 or over. One adult swimmer may supervise up to two children. Adults accompanying children in the pool are required to pay the standard swimming admission fee.
How to register and book
Parents and carers must register once before they can book a free swimming session. After registering, all swimming sessions must be booked in advance. Bookings can be made online, through the centre’s app, or in person at the centre.
Free swim sessions are available Monday to Friday, between 10am and 4pm during school holidays, excluding bank holidays. Places are limited, and a booking is required to be able to swim.
