We were founded in 1942 by a group of local people, most of whom had some connection with the sea.
Our staff encourage cadets to take part in as many activities, courses and competitions as possible, in order for the young people to reach their full potential and gain the most of the opportunities and experiences available.
Our unit makes full use of the local Sea Cadet boat station on weekends to practice skills including sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, stand-up paddle boarding and rowing.
