Supplementary planning documents and guidance

Supplementary planning documents and guidance

Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs) and Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPGs) expand on our ‘adopted’ and ‘saved’ planning policies to provide more information than can be contained in the policies themselves.

They should be considered by anyone making a planning application. They are a material consideration in determining planning applications.

Conservation area design guides give practical advice and information to help you make repairs and improvements to your home that will help to preserve or enhance the character of the property and local area.

The documents below can be downloaded and are also available for inspection at Brent libraries.

If you have any questions, or would like further information, on planning polices and guidance, email: planningstrategy@brent.gov.uk

Planning Obligations SPD

Draft Planning Obligations SPD

Planning Obligations Consultation Statement

A joint Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) screening assessment was produced to assess whether or not these documents would result in significant environmental effects. In consultation with statutory stakeholders, this concluded that these documents will not have significant environmental effects, and therefore do not require a SEA (.pdf, 984.5kB).
