The reservoir provides a valuable habitat for wildlife and an attractive recreational centre.
There is a Welsh Harp Conservation Group and it is home to the Welsh Harp Environmental Education Centre.
Two bird hides are on the site that are maintained by the Welsh Harp Conservation Group. Contact the Welsh Harp Environmental Education Centre for access.
