Why we collect your information
Brent Council need your details to deliver the HAF Programme (April 2026 – March 2030) and meet legal and funding requirements set by the Department for Education.
What we collect
- Child’s name, date of birth, school, gender, ethnicity, SEND status, postcodes
- Parent’s eligibility declaration
- Free school meal eligibility (from schools)
- Individual contact details (Organisation Lead)
- Organisation details and policies
Who we share it with
- Brent Council teams
- Holiday clubs (to confirm eligibility)
- Department for Education (anonymised data for reporting)
How long we keep it
The data will be held and will only be used after 2030, in the event of a safeguarding concern or incident.
Your rights
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Ask for a copy of your data
- Request deletion (“right to be forgotten”)
If you do not provide your information, you may not be able to access HAF funding.
Data protection
Brent Council follow UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. Brent Council do not share your data outside the UK/EU without proper safeguards.
Brent Council may use your data to prevent fraud and share it with audit and law enforcement bodies as required by law.
