To join the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) you need to be under the age of 75 and eligible to join the scheme.
New eligible employees with a contract of three months or more are automatically brought into the scheme while eligible employees with short term or casual contracts can choose to opt in (.pdf, 138.7kB)
