The Pakistan Community Centre (Pakistan Welfare Association) is a voluntary and charity organisation that originated in 1965 as the Pakistan Workers Association. It was established to assist newly arrived migrant workers from the subcontinent with finding jobs, housing, and other social needs. Over time, the organisation has become a driving force in the community, providing crucial support in local matters. This includes participation in the Homeless Project in collaboration with churches and other organisations, offering shelter and food to those most disadvantaged in society. Additionally, the organisation is actively involved in various charitable schemes and partners with the Metropolitan Police, Brent Council, Brent Voluntary Sector, resident associations, and other voluntary organisations to ensure the safety and protection of the community. Daily activities include voluntary work such as language teaching and engagement with youth and the elderly to contribute to the overall betterment of the community.
