Emergency bleed control kits

As part of the Safer Brent Partnership, three emergency bleed control kits have been installed across the borough.

What are they

Bleed control kits are specialised first aid packs containing dressings and bandages that help slow or stop severe bleeding. In a serious incident, they can keep someone alive until emergency services arrive.

These kits are available for anyone to use in an emergency and are placed in busy public areas so they can be accessed quickly when needed.

How to use them

Bleed control kits are available 24/7. They can be accessed by members of the public and trained staff if an incident occurs nearby.

In an emergency:

• Call 999
• The emergency call handler will give you the code to unlock the cabinet.
• Follow the instructions
