With BHM, first as a volunteer, and now as a Brent Council employee, I have been able to develop professionally. I am learning new skills, building relationships, and I am making a difference for people's health and wellbeing.

Before joining BHM, Ahmen was already a volunteer at the Al Saddiiq Cultural Centre, and with ties to Brent's Somali and Syrian communities, Ahmed has been instrumental in helping BHM co-produce health and wellbeing events in those communities to help address issues such as social isolation and bereavement.
