Share your feedback on the draft Staples Corner Growth Area Masterplan and Design Code SPD (draft SPD). The formal consultation is from Tuesday 4 June to Tuesday 16 July 2024.

Take part in the Staples Corner Consultation

The draft SPD has been produced to support the policies of the adopted Brent Local Plan. The SPD will be used to assess planning applications and inform future planning decisions for development in the area. The draft SCGA SPD is needed to bring forward physical, social and economic regeneration for the benefit of all the community.

A Staples Corner consultation event

Engagement so far

Brent Council have been running an engagement programme that started since July 2022. These included the following:

Business Survey

The carrying out of a Business Survey formed part of the Regeneration teams early engagement strategy and was undertaken at the end of year 2022 to better understand the character of local businesses, satisfaction levels, confidence and future plans, and how Staples Corner could be improved to better support businesses.

Residents Survey

Residents Survey was carried out between December 2022 to May 2023 as part of early engagement strategy and was undertaken to better understand the needs of local residents, satisfaction levels and how Staples Corner could be improved to better support residents.

Landowner Engagement

Early conversations between the Council and key landowners were initiated as part of the masterplan process and this process will continue through statutory consultation.
