Notting Hill Carnival is a well-loved event that draws thousands of visitors over the August bank holiday. As a neighbouring borough, we look forward to both locals and visitors coming together to enjoy the festivities. Why not take part and explore the vibrant culture, history, and significant contributions of the Caribbean community?
Carnival begins at 10am on Sunday 24 August and Monday 25 August 2025. Take a look at the official schedule, including fringe events taking place across the weekend, on the Notting Hill Carnival website.
Although the borough of Brent falls outside the event, its proximity to both transport hubs Kensal Green and Kensal Rise stations draws high numbers of attendees into Brent’s streets as they travel into the carnival.
Useful information
The following will be in place during the event on Sunday, 24 and Monday, 25 August:
- We will have a Traffic Management Order (TMO) in place. There will be no parking or waiting at any time (including in parking bays) on certain roads.
- We will have officers monitoring CCTV covering the area around the carnival to ensure all residents can enjoy it safely.
- There will be 15 toilets including disabled access toilets along Harrow Road and Kensal Rose station with directional signage for carnival attendees.
- Our Enforcement patrols will team up with local police officers to ensure there is nothing taking place that has not been agreed to, including illegal street trading, barbecues and street parties.
- Our Noise Nuisance patrols will be in place to deal with any complaints. Use our noise app to let us know about anyone.
- We will ensure the clean-up during and post event, including inspections of our streets before carnival.
- There is a dedicated parking enforcement team in the area local to carnival including mobile, foot-patrols and tow-trucks.
- There will be a road closure and public safety barriers in Harlesden, so that members of the public do not spill on to the roads, keeping them safe.
- We constantly strive to improve these measures and endeavour to minimise the impact on our residents and businesses.
