You can report an emergency repair 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

This service is available for emergencies such as:

• major damage to the roof
• major flooding
• major electrical faults in order to make safe only.

If you need a repair or maintenance to be carried out to a shared area, you should report it to us immediately.

Don’t have an online account?

Creating an account is easy and only takes a couple of minutes. All you need to get started is an email address, to use as a login.  We will then send you details on how to activate your account.

Your repair obligations are outlined in the terms of your lease. However, in most circumstances you will be responsible for the following items:

• the window glazing (but not the frame)
• the ceilings (but not the joists or beams or concrete floors)
• all plaster and other surfaces to all floors, walls and ceilings in your property
• the entrance door and frame to the property and any other external doors and frames (within the property)
• all plumbing, electrical services and wiring within and servicing solely your property
• all fixtures and fittings in the property (this usually includes window handles and locks)
• all internal decoration.

We are responsible for repairing and maintaining the structure, outside and shared parts of the building you live in, the cost of which is recovered through your service and major works charges.

Brent Council will repair and maintain:

• foundations
• outside walls
• roofs, outside doors and window frames
• chimney stacks
• structural walls
• outside decoration and decoration inside shared areas
• shared boundary walls and fences
• lifts and entry phones
• shared wiring and lighting
• shared rubbish chutes.
