Established in September 1978, Brent Indian Community Centre (BI-CC) has proudly served the diverse communities of Brent for over 46 years.
BI-CC is dedicated to supporting Brent’s multicultural population, with a particular focus on older residents - many of whom are over 60, live on low incomes, face language barriers, and have limited digital literacy or long-term health conditions.
In April 2024, BI-CC moved into a newly redeveloped facility, and now includes a hall for events and gatherings, consultation and meeting rooms, an IT training room and a commercial kitchen.
BI-CC offers a wide range of services and activities designed to support the wellbeing, independence, and social inclusion of its members such as:
- Celebrations to promote heritage and cross-cultural understanding.
- Offers smartphone and tablet training for seniors to boost confidence and connectivity.
- Provides yoga, reflexology, and health seminars supporting physical and mental wellbeing.
- Organises social events and trips to London landmarks and seaside destinations to reduce isolation.
