Church End Residents Association (CERA)

We are an association of local people living in the same neighbourhood that deals with matters of common interest such as youth activities, vandalism, traffic problems, or changes in local laws. We work closely with our landlord Catalyst Housing to support in the delivery of local youth projects, such as an annual Summer programme, which offers young people a free club to learn and have fun in a safe and friendly environment during the 6 weeks holidays. We hold an annual Residents Roadshow event, showcasing a range of different local services available to residents and consult with the wider community on the needs and demands within the area. We deliver community projects such as a weekly sewing club, for parents and children, run at our local community centre. We also deliver a weekly creative arts workshops for young people and families, recently resulting in a permanent mosaic art piece currently displayed at the Unity Centre. Our members work as community champions, engaging residents into services and sign posting for local support initiative.
