• 21 km of roads resurfaced, around a half marathon’s distance
• 41 km of pavements re-laid, improving accessibility and walkability
• 9 football pitches’ worth of high street pavements deep cleaned
• 622 lighting columns upgraded or replaced to improve safety
• 4,481 potholes repaired in the last 12 months
• 4,099 road patch repairs completed to keep streets in good condition
• 358 tree stumps removed, making space for new planting in the future

• Town centre spring cleaning, including deep cleaning pavements and street furniture, plus decluttering and updating signage
• Targeted upgrades to traffic calming measures on selected streets to reduce noise and vibration
• New Vehicle Activated speed signs at 40 locations to help tackle speeding

• More secure cycle parking and better cycle lanes at key routes across the borough

In progress and next up

• Quietway 3 upgrade between Gladstone Park and Kilburn Station
• Six new green roof cycle shelters scheduled for installation
• 100 new residential bike hangars following consultation and site assessments
• Development of four new School Streets, plus two expansions to improve safety around schools

• 50 new park bins, more benches and refurbished existing benches, plus new digital and entrance boards
• Improvements at key parks and green spaces including Welsh Harp, Preston Park, Woodhayes Park, One Tree Hill and King Edward VII Park
• Allotment repairs and improvements along Wealdstone Brook
• A programme of 1,500 new trees scheduled for planting

• Enforcement capacity tripled, increasing the team from 6 to 18 officers
• More mechanical sweepers now operating to improve street cleanliness

• Updated “Don’t Mess with Brent” signage, along with 100 new street bins and a resident litter picking initiative
• Expanded CCTV coverage, including new AI enabled cameras, plus targeted private land hotspot cleanups
• Additional officers supporting business waste, HMO compliance, ASB patrols and pest control on estates and alleyways

• Improvements in Neasden town centre, with a wider programme of high street decluttering and cleaning
• Green Neighbourhood upgrades in Church End and Roundwood, including new signage, lighting, rain gardens and planting
  

We are improving spaces where young people can learn, train and thrive. Facilities being improved include:

• Jason Roberts Foundation gym and training space
• The OK Club sports hall refurbishment
• Roundwood School and Community Centre with Sport at the Heart
• The Anchor Youth Hub (Young Brent Foundation)
