Smiles, applause and a freshly cut ribbon marked the official opening of Wembley Manor School this week.
Cabinet members, councillors, local authority officers, school staff and construction workers came together to celebrate the arrival of the landmark new SEND school on London Road. Guests enjoyed a guided tour of the bright, modern building, taking in the classrooms and specialist spaces that welcomed pupils for the first time in September.
Funded by the local authority, delivered by Reds10 and managed by The Rise Partnership Trust, the £22 million Wembley Manor School provides 150 much-needed specialist places for local secondary-aged children, bringing access to vital support closer to home for Brent families. The three-storey school was designed entirely around pupils’ needs, offering peaceful and welcoming learning environments that promote wellbeing, independence and confidence, while setting new standards for sustainability and environmental performance.
This week's celebration demonstrates Brent Council’s commitment to give children in the borough the best possible start in life.
