Apply for Housing Assistance

Assessments are currently taking place by phone rather than in person at the Civic Centre. If you had an assessment booked at the Civic Centre, this will now take place by phone at the same time. 

If you are making a new application for housing assistance, please include your phone number in your application. If you have any questions please call us on 020 8937 2000 (option 3).


If you are currently homeless or facing the threat of homelessness then you may be eligible for housing assistance. Complete our online housing needs assessment to receive further advice and information about your current situation and the options available to you.

Before you start

You will need access to a computer to complete an online application. You will also need to have a few details to hand, including evidence of your current situation, address, right to live in the UK, employment status and any medical issues.

If you don’t have access to a computer

You can visit our Customer Services Centre at the Brent Civic Centre a hub, contact point or your local library to use a computer. You can also nominate a friend or family member to help if you need assistance completing your application online.

Make a new application

You will need to complete your housing assistance application in My Account. Once you have created and activated (or signed in if you are an existing My Account customer), you will need to select ‘Applications for Housing Assistance’ from the list.

Register or log in to My Account 

Already completed an application?

If you have already applied for housing assistance via our website before, then make sure you use the same email address that you used previously when you created your new account. Once you are in My Account you can view your past applications.
