Every year, by law, we must carry out a canvass of all households in Brent to make sure that the electoral register is accurate and up to date.
Between August and November, all households in Brent will receive either an email or a letter asking them to check the information held on the electoral register for their address.
Responding quickly and accurately helps save money by reducing the number of reminder letters and follow-up communications we are required to send.
This process also helps us remove people who no longer live at an address, invite new residents to register to vote, and identify 16 and 17-year-olds so they can register and be able to vote when they turn 18.
