Community-led projects are set to receive between £1,000 and £15,000, thanks to the Love Where You Live grant.

Brent Council has partnered with Wembley Stadium Foundation (WSF), an independent charity that aims to inspire, connect and transform communities, for this latest round of Love Where You Live.

The collaboration boosts funding to Brent-based organisations that are working improve community cohesion and empowerment, and provide opportunities that are available to all.

Grant applications are now being welcomed for projects that will enhance the skills of local people and develop stronger communities, empowering residents and community organisations to come together to respond to local needs and concerns.

Applications are open to Brent registered community and voluntary sector groups, schools and residents.

The grants can be used for activities, events or equipment that contribute to key areas such as, developing community and social cohesion, environmental improvement, reducing inequalities, capacity-building, tackling social isolation and health and movement.

Previously funded projects have included a business development workshop that equipped participants with the skills to turn their hobbies into viable enterprises; an event to support the Age-Friendly Brent launch, to help shape an age friendly borough, demonstrating age is no barrier to making a difference; and a series of community performances delivered in partnership with local arts organisations, enabling residents to contribute to cultural activity across the borough.

“

We’re delighted to continue our partnership with the Wembley Stadium Foundation because we’ve seen how even modest grants can spark powerful change.

Councillor Jake Rubin, Cabinet Member for Climate Action and Community Power, said: “We’re delighted to continue our partnership with the Wembley Stadium Foundation because we’ve seen how even modest grants can spark powerful change. These funds help residents and local groups turn great ideas into real projects that strengthen community bonds, build pride and support those who need it most. The enthusiasm from the first round showed just how much potential exists in Brent, and I’d encourage anyone with a vision to come forward and apply.”

Paul Findlay MBE, Chief Executive Officer, Wembley Stadium Foundation: “We are delighted to be continuing our partnership with Brent Council through the Love Where You Live fund. Brent is one of the most diverse and vibrant boroughs in the country, with a strong sense of local identity and community pride, but also clear and persistent inequalities.

Supporting local communities in Brent is central to our purpose, and this partnership allows us to invest in grassroots projects that build wellbeing, belonging and community resilience where it matters most. The response to the first funding round highlighted both the depth of need and the strength of local organisations, and we look forward to seeing the impact of the next round of funding.”

The deadline for applications is 11.59pm on Monday 23 February 2026.
