Birth Registration is now OPEN - Please book an appointment to register a birth or call us on 020 8937 1010. You can pre-purchase full certificates when booking your appointment online. Death and stillborn registrations - Registrations are taking place by telephone. Please call 020 8937 1010 or book an appointment to register a death. Medical certificate cause of death (MCCD) will be electronically sent to the register office from the hospital or Community Doctor’s hub. Green certificates for Burial or cremation will be emailed to the family informant and, if requested, the funeral director of your choice. Legal Notices of Marriage and Civil Partnerships, Marriage and Civil Partnership ceremony bookings are OPEN – Please book online or call us on 020 8937 1010. Group citizenship ceremonies - From Monday 20 July 2020, we will commence group citizenship ceremonies with a maximum number of 22 Citizens per ceremony. If you have received your ceremony invitation letter from the Home Office, please call us on 020 8937 1010. Private Ceremonies are also available to book and have your invitation letter from the Home Office, guests are not permitted at the private ceremony, please call 020 8937 1010. - Register your notice of intent to marry or notice to join in civil partnership
- Correction of a birth, death, marriage or civil partnership entry
- Re-registration of a birth (Monday to Friday only)
- European Union Settlement Scheme (EUSS)
- Citizenship ceremony
You can walk-in to:
- Get a copy of a certificate
- Arrange a wedding or civil partnership date

Urgent burial
If you require an urgent burial during bank holiday closures, a registrar is on standby between 8am and 10am. Please call 0208 937 1010 for our out-of-office telephone message which provides the mobile number you should contact.
