Do not place electrical items in your bin. Instead, you can dispose of them in the following ways:
Abbey Road Refuse and Recycling Centre
You can take small electrical items to the Abbey Road Reuse and Recycling Centre to be recycled, This is not for commercial businesses, schools or anyone with a commercial waste collection.
- mobile phones
- fridges and freezers
- TVs and monitors
- printer cartridges
- small appliances
- large appliances
- low energy bulbs
- fluorescent tubes

Special collection (bulky rubbish)
When you book apaid-for special collection, we will collect up to five items bulky items from your home, including electrical appliances, computers and laptops.
Small items collection
You can arrange to have any of the following small electrical items collected for free from your home:
- Toaster
- Table top griller
- Kettle
- Iron
- Blender
- Radio or camcorders
- Laptop and phones*
- Games consoles
- Hair dryers, straightners and curlers
- Smoke detectors and thermostats
- Carrier bag of cables, chargers etc.
- Other electricals smaller than 30cm in length, width and height
* Batteries and sim cards must be removed.
