Organise a local clean-up
Things to read
Love where you live and help organise a clean-up day.
Organising a clean-up is a voluntary activity which involves getting together with neighbours and clearing litter to improve an area with our support.
Many local groups find that there are areas near to them which can collect large amounts of litter and/or dumping of waste. Organising a targeted clean up can assist in making the area look nice again and also demonstrate community pride in an area.
If you are interested in doing this, you can contact us and let us know where you would like to clean up.
We can provide you with litter pickers and can assist you on the day. We will also collect the waste that is collected as part of the clean-up.
We recommend that you start with a small area for example, one road or part of a green space. Clean ups usually last between 1 and 2 hours.
