1.1. This site (together with the documents referred to on it) tells you the conditions of use (Conditions of use) on which you may make access and/or use the service(s). Please read these Conditions of use carefully before you start access or use the service(s) offered through this site.
By registering and using this site you are indicating each time, that you accept these Conditions of use and that you agree to abide by them. If you do not agree to these Conditions of use, please refrain from accessing, registering or using this site.
2. Accessing the site
2.1. Access to this site is permitted on a temporary basis, and we reserve the right to withdraw or amend the service we provide on this site without notice. We will not be liable if for any reason this site is unavailable at any time or for any period.

3.1. The Council may from time to time provide registered users with the opportunity to use an online chat feature in order to support users accessing the service(s).
3.2. By using the chat feature on this site you:
- agree that your chat session may be recorded or monitored for quality purposes; and
- consent to the transmission of information via the messaging service of this site; and
- agree to not use it in any way that could harm the Council or any other service provider or any computer network or system or impair anyone else’s use thereof.
3.3. You will not use the chat feature service to try to gain unauthorised access to any service, data, account or network by any means and acknowledge that the Council’s ability to provide you with support depends on your full and timely cooperation as well as the accuracy and completeness of any information you provide.
Also, you must have a compatible device, network service and all the minimum technical requirements to make this assistance possible. The Council reserves the right to terminate or cancel the chat feature with you if your system requirements, configuration or any other reason make the provision of the chat feature impossible or impractical.
3.4 The Council expressly excludes any liability for any loss or damage arising from the use of the chat feature service by a user to the maximum extent permitted by the law and excludes all representations, warranties and conditions, whether express, implied or statutory, including equitable.
4. Reliance on information posted
4.1. All material posted on this site is intended for information purposes only and does not represent the Council’s views or advice on which reliance should be placed. Users are hereby placed under notice that they should take appropriate steps to verify such information.
No user should act or refrain from acting on the information contained in this site without first verifying the information and as necessary obtaining professional advice.
4.2. The Council may change these Conditions of use at any time by posting changes online. Please review these terms regularly to ensure you are aware of any changes made by the Council.
Your continued use of this site after changes are posted means you agree to be legally bound by these Conditions of use as updated and/or amended.
5.1. The Council is committed to the highest standard of quality information and every attempt has been made to present up to date and accurate information. However, the Council gives no warranty as to the accuracy of the information on this site and accepts no liability for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused as a result of reliance on such information.
5.2. To the extend permitted by law, the Council expressly excludes all conditions, warranties and other terms which might otherwise be implied by statute, common law or the law of equity.
5.3. Although the Council takes all reasonable measures to ensure that the information provided to it from third parties is not defamatory or offensive, the Council cannot control the content or take responsibility for pages maintained by external providers and therefore, does not accept any liability or responsibility for any third party sites that can be accessed through this site or for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them.
5.5 Nothing in these Conditions of use shall exclude the Council’s liability for death or personal injury resulting from its negligence, nor its liability for fraudulent misrepresentation, nor any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
6.1. The Council in its absolute discretion will determine whether there has been a breach of this Conditions of use and will take such action as it deems appropriate.
6.2. Failure to comply with any of the terms set above constitutes a material breach of the Conditions of use upon which you are permitted to use this site, and may result in the Council taking all or any of the following actions:
- immediate, temporary or permanent withdrawal of your right to use the site
- immediate, temporary or permanent removal of any posting or material uploaded by you to the site
- issue of a warning to you
- legal proceedings against you for reimbursement of all costs on an indemnity basis (including, but not limited to, reasonable administrative and legal costs) resulting from the breach;
- further legal action against you
- disclosure of such information to law enforcement authorities as the Council reasonably feels is necessary.
6.3 The Council excludes liability for actions taken in response to breaches of the Conditions of use. The actions described above are not limited, and the Council may take any other action as it reasonably deems appropriate.
7.2. If any provision of these Conditions of use is found to be invalid by any court having competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of that provision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions which shall remain in full force and effect.
7.3. The Council’s omission to exercise any right under these Conditions of use shall not constitute a waiver of any such right unless expressly accepted by the Council in writing.
7.4 These Conditions of use and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.
You and the Council agree to submit any dispute (including any non-contractual dispute) arising out of or in connection with the use of this site to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
